In 2002 the inaugural tournament jointly organized by St. Andrew Hockey Club and Munro  College Old Boys Hockey Club succeeded in introducing to the hockey calendar a week of activity that offered Jamaican and overseas hockey clubs and enthusiasts additional exposure to 11-eleven a-side hockey, and provided the Jamaican-female clubs with overseas competition. The 2002 tournament was held over 6 days.  Nine competitive 11-a-side teams participated in the inaugural tournament including USA Blazers from outside of Jamaica.

The inaugural tournament succeeded in increasing the playing opportunities open to field-hockey players in the region, fostered camaraderie and interaction amongst the hockey fraternity internationally, and was great fun!

Our patrons, Dr. Alfred Sangster and Miss Myrna Brown were fantastic and we use this medium to once again thank them.

Below are a few images from the 2002 tournament.
