I’m a member of the St. Andrew hockey club (the best
club!), and a former member of the under-21 national and senior national Jamaica
female hockey teams. I have held leadership positions as a national player and
within the Jamaica hockey federation. Winning the CAC women’s field hockey gold
medal in the 1990s is a ‘life-highlight’ along with, learning traditional
leather-art
and bronze-sculpture in Burkina Faso (West Africa), studying ceramics, designing
the interior of my home, travelling to Spain and Dubai, learning basic Spanish,
and running a treasury operation of over quarter of a USD billion in assets
while at Citigroup. I’m a practical person as evidenced by the fact that the
ten things I can not live without include a laptop, high speed internet access,
a blackberry, comfortable shoes, music, books, good fast-food (as in ‘food
cooked by someone else’), mosquito repellant, tea, and sunlight. No kids, no
dog, but i do have a really cool nephew, a fabulous sister, and a few fish. My
interests include architecture, design, and investing; see my blog at
financialrambling.blogspot.com.
My heroes: Nelson Mandela, Dilbert, and my parents. Life aspirations: to win a
huge (massive) lotto draw and see the fun- at-the-turf tournament become a
recurring mixing point for teams from all over the region.
